Rally for Abortion Rights-
Say NO to criminalizing reproductive healthcare!
The time is now. We must protect our rights. Join us, the ACLU, FRSO, Real Name Campaign, CPUSA and others this Saturday May 7th @ 5pm at the steps across from Jackson Square in the FQ.
We demand Mayor Cantrell and District Attorney Williams refuse to enforce any laws criminalizing abortion. We want an affirmative representation that laws criminalizing abortion will not be enforced. Tacit agreement with this position is not enough.
We call on all major hospital networks (Oschner, LCMC, Touro) enact a “No Snitching” policy, and refuse to report to authorities any patient experiencing a miscarriage or other signs of a self-managed abortion
We demand the Mayor order Louisiana State Police OUT of New Orleans. Even if the City agrees not to prosecute under the coming anti-choice laws, residents may still be subject to enforcement by LSP. New Orleans should be able to self-govern, without outside interference.
