Medicare for All Canvass-
Join us on our next Medicare for All canvass! Every month (or more!), the DSA New Orleans Health Care Committee goes out door-to-door in different neighborhoods to talk to our neighbors about the fight for Medicare for All. No experience or supplies necessary. Everyone is welcome to join! Email healthcare@dsaneworleans.org to RSVP or if you have any questions. This month, we'll be starting at A.L. Davis Park, and we'll be spreading the word about our same-day Health Fair and Medical Debt Clinic in the park.
Gimme a Brake (Light)!-
Each month, we replace brake lights for free for anyone who needs them in an attempt to reduce unnecessary police interactions. We also teach anyone who'd like to learn how to change brake lights, so stop by even if you don't have a car! We'll have cold drinks and snacks.
This month's clinic will start with some food to get us fueled up and a volunteer training from 11am-12pm at the triangle park at the intersection of N. Dorgenois and Bayou Road. Then we'll change brake lights from 1-4pm. No experience necessary!

Solidarity in the Park-
A joint Health Fair, Brake Light Clinic, & Medical Debt Clinic
Every month, our Direct Service Committee hosts a Brake Light Clinic. We change neighbors brake lights for free to protect one another from state-sanctioned violence and talk about how to build a better system and a better world.
Every other month, our Health Care Committee hosts a Health Fair + Medical Debt Clinic. We offer health & housing resources, hot food, cool beverages, assistance with debt disputes, and talk to folks about Medicare for All.
This month we are combining these events for Solidarity in the Park! Come out for food, resources, a new brake light, a health screening, or just to hang! And we are always looking for volunteers! If you're interested in getting involved, email healthcare@dsaneworleans.org. This month, we'll be in A.L. Davis Park in Central City.
