Our chapter's Direct Service Committee is hosting an event in our Racial Justice Speaker Series featuring a local DSA member, Darlene Jones. She will speak about her personal history of organizing in New Orleans and how the criminal justice system has affected her life. We will talk about taking down the monuments, cash bail, changing high school mascots, different activists organizations in New Orleans, and New Orleans police tactics.
