We are a city, a country of two major social classes. An ongoing struggle exists between these two classes. This class struggle is the basis of the exploitation of workers and the oppression of nations, of national minorities, of women, of youth, etc. Sometimes the struggle of these classes pushes society forward, sometimes the struggle of these classes pushes society backward. Within this city, or this country, only one social class has control of the state machinery or state apparatus. These are the rich millionaires and billionaires. The rich millionaires/billionaires through their control of the state hold down and oppress the working masses and all other oppressed people. This becomes the basis of resistance.
